We want to continue doing business in the future and not risk that future! That’s why sustainability is firmly anchored in Continental’s corporate principles. We know our responsibility towards the environment and our employees and we’ll do everything possible to ensure that we measure up to that task. Our UBAG principles define the same high standards for environmental, work and health protection all over the world.

Environmentally-friendly materials and sustainable products

  • Asbestos-free production since the 1980s
  • Since the end of the 1990s, all friction materials have been free from lead and other materials that might endanger health

  • Friction materials developed before 1999 converted to comply with EU Directive 2000/53/EC (among other directives)

  • Exclusive use of environmentally-friendly materials in brake disc coating since 2006

  • Re-manufactured brake callipers included in the product range

    Pioneer in the launch of the low-dust ATE Ceramic brake pads since 2010
