Since 1971 the automechanika in Frankfurt has been one of the most important meeting places for decision makers from the automotive business and visitors from the trades, service shops, wholesale/retail and filling station operators. They all get first-hand information about innovations and new functions at automechanika. Messe Frankfurt expects more than 4600 exhibitors and 160,000 visitors for the 20th automechanika from 16 to 21 September 2008.

Around 40 percent of the trade visitors and 80 percent of the exhibitors will be coming from abroad.In keeping with tradition, Continental and ATE will be on hand at this year's show too: you will find us in hall 3.0 at stand A61/B60 – right at the double doors leading to the open exhibition grounds (Agora).

For the aftermarket, climate change is the topic of the hour in 2008.

What implications do current developments in the area of emission control and CO_² reduction have for the parts market? What action does the industry recommend for service shops, filling stations and their service offerings? These topics are the center of interest at the show in 2008. Visitors will receive a "Green Directory" which draws their attention to products distinguished by efficient energy and material use or innovations in emission control. At the Automechanika Academy, too, experts will talk about the responses of the trade to CO_² reduction.
